Foray into Felting July 10, 2008
Posting for Ez- first example is a needle felting FAIL…looks like something my cat barfed up. I suspect this has more to do with the wool that I used and not my total lack of needle felting talent.
Next is a machine felting WIN- same type of wool but I chucked it in the washing machine and let the machine do all the hard work.
I am also going to start an upcycled newsboy cap today, made from an old woolen cardigan that I found at the Salvos and machine felted. I haven’t really done any sewing since I was in year 7, so it may end in fail, we’ll see…
Epic Knitting Fail- Now with added visual fail! June 30, 2008
I have taken up circle loom knitting. Which is the same as french knitting, except it sounds less fruity.
I decided to make a hat on the weekend and found a good pattern. Found some funky wool too.
Hat has just been finished, and it actually looks good.
…Except that it would fit a toddler well, and not me. Knew I should have added that extra 20 rows.
